Fans who missed out on Cat Osterman's farewell tour this summer are in luck. Softball's biggest star just added a lot of additional dates next summer. And maybe summers beyond that. An Olympic gold medalist, two-time world champion and one of the most dominant strikeout pitchers in college and pro softball history, Osterman announced in April that she planned to retire at the end of the National Pro Fastpitch season. Boxscore Pride: 5 Comets: 1 Kissimmee, FL- The USSSA Pride started off their 2013 season in winning fashion with a 5-1 victory over the NY/NJ Comets on Sunday night in their home opener. Cat Osterman got off to a hot start in what will be her final season, striking out 13 batters and holding the Comets to one run and two hits in her first victory of the season. USSSA Pride Sign Texas Ace Blaire Luna

Kissimmee, FL- The USSSA Pride announced the signing of Texas Longhorn pitcher Blaire Luna today. Luna inked a two-year deal with the USSSA Pride, currently led by head coach J. T. D’Amico. Luna helped lead her Longhorns to 51 wins this season, the second most wins in school history. She capped her colligate career leading Texas to their fifth appearance in the Women’s College World Series.
