Pride Rolls in 3 Game Set in California

Palm Springs, CA- The USSSA Pride took to California in this chilly week the play a 3 game set against 3 different teams. Cal Baptist, Washington, and Team Toyota out of Japan each played the Pride in exhibition play. During the week the Pride played their first game against Cal Baptist University, who arguably gave the Pride their toughest contest of the week, with the Pride winning 5-2. Caitlin Lowe started right where she left off in 2012, going 2-3 with 2 singles in the game. BATON ROUGE – The NPF All-Stars defeated the LSU softball team by a 7-2 margin during an exhibition game Friday at Tiger Park which featured a pitching match-up between former NFCA All-American teammates Rachele Fico and Brittany Mack. Mack faced her former team and looked sharp throughout. She allowed only two runs on five hits over 6.1 innings of work. Texas State Takes Team NPF To 13 Innings

San Marcos, Texas – Texas State softball battled 13 innings versus the National Fastpitch All-Stars before falling, 1-0. Tonight’s game at Bobcat Field was the 15th stop on the NPF’s Back to School Tour. The Tour is sponsored by USSSA, with the support of Major League Baseball. Tonight’s game was a nail biter. After back-to-back hits by Coralee Ramirez and Jordan Masek in the bottom of the fifth, the Bobcats put themselves in scoring position with runners on second and third. Team NPF Tops The Bears of UCA

Conway, Ark. – The Central Arkansas softball team squared off with what is undoubtedly the toughest team they will see all season, hosting the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars at Farris Field Monday night. Though the Bears fell 3-0 in the game, there was a marked improvement from last season when the two faced off. The All-Stars came away with a decisive 13-1 victory in that meeting.
