Kissimmee, FL – August 10, 2013- It was another great night of softball at Osceola County Stadium Saturday night as the USSSA Pride won both games of a double header against the NY/NJ Comets, sweeping the four-game series. Nashville, Tenn. – National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) has reached an agreement with ESPN to carry16-games across ESPN2 and ESPN3 , making this the largest TV deal in the league’s 10-year history. Six games will air nationwide on ESPN2 and 10 games will be carried on ESPN3. Pitch after pitch, inning after inning, Monica Abbott and Cat Osterman did what arguably the two best pitchers on the planet are supposed to do. That the setting for their meeting was a regular-season game with limited long-term implications felt more and more incidental with each inning. NPF and Pride Media Coverage Excels in 2012

The media coverage on the USSSA Pride and NPF softball this season has come a long way and has made significant strides in getting the attention of the Professional Sports World and the Fastpitch world in general. The USSSA Pride have played “Home” series’ this season at many different places in many different states. In June they traveled to Corpus Christi, TX where they took on the Akron Racers in a 3 game series in which they swept 3 games to none. Pride Stay Hot; Beat Bandits 9-0 in Disney Opener

The USSSA Pride continued their winning streak against the Chicago Bandits with a dominating 9-0 win on Thursday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista. Pride pitcher Cat Osterman (5-4) had an outstanding outing, allowing only three hits and one walk in the shutout, and striking out seven. Kelly Kretschman started the game off for the Pride with a sacrifice fly that brought shortstop Natasha Watley in.
