Kissimmee, FL--Jan 22, 2015-The USSSA Florida Pride announced on Thursday the trade for former National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Player of the Year Megan Wiggins. The Pride traded catcher Kristyn Sandberg, the sixth and 14th overall picks in the 2015 NPF Draft to the Pennsylvania Rebellion for Wiggins and the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NPF Draft. USSSA Florida Pride Name Gerry Glasco Head Coach for 2014 Season

Kissimmee, FL –December 16, 2013- The USSSA Florida Pride, 2013 National Pro Fastpitch Champions, named Gerry Glasco as its Head Coach for the upcoming 2014 season. Glasco, currently the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Georgia, brings a wealth of experience on the offensive side of the ball with him to the Pride after helping UGA set over 20 offensive team records since the 2008-09 season. NCAA Regional Results Are In: Draftee Updates

5 Pride Draftees move on to the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament, while 2 draftees’ teams fell just short of regional tournament wins. Michelle Moultrie of the University of Florida and UCLA’s Andrea Harrison both concluded their college careers this weekend.  Ironically, both Moultrie’s and Harrison’s teams were eliminated by Florida teams, dropping regional titles to the University of South Florida and Florida State, respectively. Moultrie ends her University of Florida Tenure as the college’s career leader in batting average at .385 and stolen bases at 83 in 99 attempts.   … [Read more...]
