Kissimmee, FL-November 5, 2015-The USSSA Florida Pride are pleased to announce the free agent signing of former University of Florida pitcher Hannah Rogers to a two year contract in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF). Rogers is coming off a 2014 Women’s College World Series (WCWS) Championship where the right-handed pitcher went a perfect 4-0 on her way to capturing the title and WCWS Most Outstanding Player accolades. Via Four Gator Softball Players Named to NFCA All-Southeast Region Teams (5/17): “Four Florida softball student-athletes were named to the 2012 NFCA All-Southeast Region Teams, announced by the Starkville-based National Fastpitch Coaches Association Thursday. NCAA Regional Results Are In: Draftee Updates


5 Pride Draftees move on to the Super Regional round of the NCAA tournament, while 2 draftees’ teams fell just short of regional tournament wins. Michelle Moultrie of the University of Florida and UCLA’s Andrea Harrison both concluded their college careers this weekend.  Ironically, both Moultrie’s and Harrison’s teams were eliminated by Florida teams, dropping regional titles to the University of South Florida and Florida State, respectively. Moultrie ends her University of Florida Tenure as the college’s career leader in batting average at .385 and stolen bases at 83 in 99 attempts.   … [Read more...]

Michelle Moultrie Named SEC Player of the Year


Michelle Moutlrie, the 12th overall pick to the USSSA Pride in the 2012 NPF Draft and the University of Florida centerfielder, was named by the 2012 All-Conference Player of the Year by the Southeastern Conference on May 8. Moultrie is only the 4th Florida player to garner this award, and the 2nd Gator to do so within the last four years.  Moultrie leads the SEC in batting average at .395 and fielding percentage with a perfect 1.000. SEC and SBC Honor Pride Draftees


Both the Southeastern Conference and the Sun Belt Conference have honored USSSA Pride Draftees, making their All-Conference player announcements today, May 8. The Pride's 12th 2012 NPF Draft pick, Michelle Moultrie of the University of Florida, was recognized as the 2012 SEC Player of the year.  Moultrie leads the SEC in both batting average at .395 and fielding percentage with a perfect 1.000.
