Kissimmee, FL—August 2, 2016—The Pride dropped their series finale in Tallahassee to the Scrap Yard Dawgs in a tight 1-0 ball game. The Dawgs scored the only run of the game in the first inning, and offenses for both teams were quiet following the run. The Pride offense was largely quiet for a majority of the game. The picked up only three hits over all seven innings and got just five runners on base. Rookie Haylie McCleney, Shelby Pendley and Hallie Wilson racked up the only Pride hits of the game. The Pride picked up their 32nd win of the season and widened the gap between them and the league’s second place team. The Dawgs struck first, scoring one in the top of the first. Kissimmee, FL—July 12, 2016—The USSSA Pride lost their fourth consecutive game in a loss to the Scrap Yard Dawgs. The game went to the eighth innings, when Amanda Kamekona made a throwing error that allowed Emily Crane to score and end the game. The Pride struck first as they scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead. The runs came on a sacrifice fly from Lauren Chamberlain and a two-out double from Hallie Wilson. Kissimmee, FL—July 11, 2016—The USSSA Pride lost their third consecutive game as they dropped the Kansas City series opener to the Scrap Yard Dawgs 4-3. The Dawgs went up early in the game, scoring two runs in the second inning followed by one run in the third. The Pride seemed to be in a bit of a hole until the bottom of the third inning. The bottom half of the third was all it took for the Pride to stage a comeback. USSSA Pride Split Monday Night Double Header Against Dawgs

  Conroe, TX –June 13, 2016—Teamwork came up big for the Pride, in game one of Monday’s double header, as they took Game 3 in their four-game series against the Scrap Yard Dawgs. Jolene Henderson got the win after nearly throwing a complete game, holding the Dawgs to one run in the 7-2 win. Shelby Pendley’s bat showed up for the Pride in the first half of the night’s double-header. Pendley drove in three runs on two hits and a sacrifice fly.
