By: Jami Lobpries The 2015 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) season kicked off with lots of buzz worthy news from expansion, league television deals, a star-studded draft and a big announcement from one of the all-time greats. By the end of the season, it was the USSSA Pride hoisting the regular season championship trophy for the second consecutive year and the fourth time in Pride history. Kissimmee, FL, May 27th,2015 - On April 1st, the 2015 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) College Draft presented by Bownet Sports was underway in Nashville, Tennessee and was broadcasted live on CBS Sports. Packed with fans and girls’ softball teams alike, the audience waited patiently and supported these girls to see where all of the draftees would play professionally for the 2015 NPF season. Pride edge Charge 4-3


McKinney, TX, Monday, June 8, 2015 – The Pride took the lead early and managed to hold off the Dallas Charge to capture a 4-3 win in game three of the four game set out at the Ballfields at Craig Ranch. The Pride took advantage of a rocky start in the circle by the Charge’s Sarah Purvis.  Purvis, who walked two, and allowed six hits and 4 earned runs lasted just one and two-third innings, before being relieved by Australian National Vanessa Stokes. Osterman Slows Charge in Series Opener


McKinney, TX, Saturday, June 6, 2015 – The USSSA Florida Pride began the 2015 season in McKinney, Texas with a series opening 10-2 victory against the Dallas Charge. Overcoming a late rally by the Charge, the Pride clinched game one of a four game series. Rookie, Shelby Pendley and veteran Kelly Kretchman delivered seven of the 11 Pride hit barrage.  Pendley had an exceptional rookie debut hitting 4 for 4, including a homerun.  Kretchman hit behind her going 3 for 4 with a deep blast as well.
