Kissimmee, FL- To end the Prides season, they ended their home stand in Grand Prairie, TX. It was a great experience for the team and the league as a whole as it ventured into new territory, showcasing to the West, the best softball in the world. Boxscore Grand Praire, TX- Shortly after it was announced that the third game in this Pride/ Diamonds series in Grand Praire would be cancelled due to heat, the teams faced off in game two where former Texas University star Cat Osterman would shut out the Diamonds in front of her home crowd, winning 9-0. Osterman would stifle the Diamonds in her complete game shut out, giving up two hits, striking out 6 and walking two. Box Score Calgary, Alberta-- Giving up three big innings the NPF Tennessee Diamonds were defeated 17-4 by the USSSA Florida Pride at Foothills Stadium in Calgary, Alberta. The Pride scored seven times in the first inning, four times in the fifth, and six more tallies in the seventh frame to collect all their runs. Canadian Olympian Danielle Lawrie picked up the win with five innings and three strikeouts. Fellow Canadian Olympian Jenn Salling collected two hits, three runs batted in, and scored two runs.
