Pride’s 4-1 Win Sets Up Battle For First In Regular Season Finale

ROSEMONT, Ill. – August 16, 2013 - The Chicago Bandits and USSSA Pride will play for an automatic bid into the National Pro Fastpitch Championship tomorrow after the Pride’s 4-1 defeat tonight in front of a sold out crowd at the Ballpark at Rosemont. The Pride stayed alive using a big three-run fourth inning to take a 4-1 lead. The Pride entered the series needing to win three of the four games in order to force a tie-breaker for first-place and currently lead the series 2-1. Chicago Bandits Defeat USSSA Pride In First Game Of National Pro Fastpitch Final Series

ROSEMONT, Ill. – NPF Pitcher of the Year Monica Abbott held the USSSA Pride at bay and her fellow Tennessee alum Shannon Doepking smashed a two-run home run to lead the Chicago Bandits to a 2-1 win over the USSSA Pride in the first game of the best two-out-of-three NPF Final Championship Series Saturday night at the Ballpark at Rosemont.
