USSSA Pride Announce Mike Davenport as Head Coach

Kissimmee, FL-March 25, 2015-The USSSA Florida Pride have named Mike Davenport as head coach for the 2015 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) season. Davenport, who is currently the head coach at the University of North Georgia (UNG), was an assistant coach on the Pride’s 2014 NPF championship team. USSSA Pride Win the 2014 National Pro Fastpitch Championship

Hoover, AL – August 23, 2014 - A seven-run sixth inning for the USSSA Florida Pride was the difference as they swept the two-game series with the Akron Racers and won the Cowles Cup for the second year in a row. A crowd of nearly 1,300 was on hand at the Hoover Met to watch the championship final. Danielle Lawrie picked up the win in what will be her final NPF game after throwing six innings in relief and holding the Racers to one run. Despite loss, UL softball’s fall exhibition vs. USSSA Pride a success

Despite the result of the game being a 11-0 victory in favor of the NPF Champions, USSSA Pride, it was a successful fundraiser for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball program at Lamson Park. "It was an awesome crowd and afternoon," head coach Michael Lotief said. "We really want to thank our fans and the crowd for coming out and supporting the team. You can't sugarcoat it.
