Rosemont, Ill - The National Pro Fastpitch 2012 season ended without crowning a Champion on the final day of competition. Championship Series Sunday was riddled with rain, causing delays that ultimately led to cancellation. ROSEMONT, Ill. – Cat Osterman threw a two-hit shutout to lead the No. 1 seed USSSA Pride to a 4-0 win in the first game of its best two-out-of-three series against the fourth-seeded Akron Racers Thursday during the opening day of action at the NPF Championship Series at the Ballpark of Rosemont. AKRON, OH – August 16, 2012 – Kristyn Sandberg of USSSA Florida Pride (28-12) had the play of the game when she blasted a three-run home run giving the Pride a 6-0 lead. The Pride would add two more runs, defeating the Racers by a score of 8-0 after putting 13 hits on the board. AKRON, OH – August 17, 2012 – USSSA Florida Pride’s (29-12) Francesca Enea took the lead from the Akron Racers (14-28) in the top of the fifth inning with a two RBI single. The Pride would hold on to defeat the Racers by a score of 5-4. The Racers started the game off strong with two singles hit by Sharonda McDonald and Lisa Modglin. Pride Walk Off Again 3-2; Errors Plague Bandits

The USSSA Pride experienced a bit of deja vu Saturday night with a seventh-inning rally to defeat the Chicago Bandits 3-2 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista. Much like Friday night's game, the Pride (19-11) and Bandits (16-15) spent a lot of the game with a tied score, but the Bandits' errors piled up, eventually costing them the game. The Pride hit well from the start of the game, but Bandits outfielder Megan Wiggins made two spectacular diving catches to stop the Pride's momentum.
