Boxscore Pride: 5 Comets: 1 Kissimmee, FL- The USSSA Pride started off their 2013 season in winning fashion with a 5-1 victory over the NY/NJ Comets on Sunday night in their home opener. Cat Osterman got off to a hot start in what will be her final season, striking out 13 batters and holding the Comets to one run and two hits in her first victory of the season. USSSA Pride Take Double Header on ESPN


Clermont, Fla. -- The USSSA Pride dominated a cloudy afternoon doubleheader Saturday at the National Training Center  Softball Complex in Clermont, Fl, winning both games and completing a sweep of the series against the Carolina Diamonds. The teams and fans celebrated the 40th anniversary of Title IX, the legislation that opened the door for women to play sports at publically funded schools, with an appearance from softball legend Dot Richardson. Bruder Takes Final Bow for Gators in a Big Way


GAINESVILLE, Fla. – To say Kelsey Bruder is a go-getter is sort of like saying Tim Tebow is popular in Denver. Let’s take her schedule the past few months. Bruder capped her senior season by helping the Gators advance to the Women’s College World Series. A few days later she was making her professional softball debut. Once the summer was over, Bruder began working a 40-hour-a-week internship to complete her Health, Education and Behavior degree.
