Kissimmee, FL—July 19, 2016—The USSSA Pride’s weeklong home stand continues as they begin a three-game series with the PA Rebellion starting on Wednesday, July 20. The Pride concluded their opener at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on Monday, finishing up a three-game series against the Chicago Bandits. They lost the series one game to two and will try to bounce back and hold on to their league lead. The Pride last played the Rebellion in late June. Kissimmee, FL—July 14, 2016—The USSSA Pride got out to a hot start on Thursday night. They began the game by scoring six runs in the first inning against the Dallas Charge. The Pride scored all six runs before making an out. Keilani Ricketts threw a gem. In her complete game, she allowed just four hits and one earned run while striking out five. Of her seven innings pitched, Ricketts threw 4.2 innings of no-hit softball. Her no-hit bid was blown in the fifth when Kahley Novak pounded a slap hit into the ground in front of home plate. Kissimmee, FL—July 12, 2016—The USSSA Pride lost their fourth consecutive game in a loss to the Scrap Yard Dawgs. The game went to the eighth innings, when Amanda Kamekona made a throwing error that allowed Emily Crane to score and end the game. The Pride struck first as they scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead. The runs came on a sacrifice fly from Lauren Chamberlain and a two-out double from Hallie Wilson. USSSA Pride Fall to Charge in Extras, 3-1


SAN DIEGO -July 9, 2016- Renada Davis poked an 0-2 pitch into right field in the the top of the 9th and came in to score later in the inning on a foul out to spark the Dallas Charge to a 3-1 extra inning victory. Dallas is now 9-15 on the season, while USSSA drops to 17-5. The Pride remain atop the NPF standings with a 4.5 game cushion over Scrap Yard (14-11). Starting pitcher Morgan Melloh picked up the victory on the mound a day after earning the save. She pitched a complete game allowing seven hits, three walks and just one run while striking out seven. Kissimmee, FL—July 5, 2016—Home runs worked as bookend for the Pride as they slugged their way to a 13-10 victory in Rosemont, IL against the Chicago Bandits. The Pride scored runs in bulk, collecting two or more runs in all but one inning in which they scored. Sierra Romero (2-5, 3 RBI) got things started in the first inning with a three-run blast over the left field fence. Megan Wiggins and Missy Taukeiaho also went long, leading the Pride to 13 runs on 17 hits. The victory was a group effort, as seven members of the Pride roster had at least one RBI.
