Pride Shut Out Comets in Double Header, Ricketts Earns First Win

KISSIMMEE, FL – It was another great night of softball at Osceola County Stadium Saturday night as the USSSA Pride won both games of a double header against the NY/NJ Comets, sweeping the four-game series. Game one was an offensive explosion with USSSA scoring 11 runs on seven hits, including a grand slam from Kristyn Sandberg, and game two found rookie Keilani Ricketts earning her first ever NPF win. Racers Fall to USSSA Pride 12-4

Akron, OH – August 4, 2013 – During the last two series between the Akron Racers and USSSA Pride, the teams have traded wins, and Sunday was no exception to the familiar pattern. One day after the Racers limited Florida to one run and handed Cat Osterman just her third loss of the season, the Pride exploded for 13 hits in the 12-4 victory. Akron Racers Fall to USSSA Pride 12-1

AKRON, OH – July 12, 2013 – The Akron Racers struggled against the USSSA Pride on both sides of the ball in tonight’s 12 -1 loss to the Pride. The Racers batters managed just four hits and one run while the Racers pitchers combined to give up 12 runs on 15 hits. Brittany Mack was charged with the loss for the Racers and Sarah Pauly receives the win for the Pride. Mack’s record is now 2-4 and Pauly jumps to 8-4. Game 1: Osterman Flirts With No Hitter in 5-0 Win over Racers Kissimmee, FL- Thursdays double header resumed on Friday morning as the Pride beat the Akron Racers 5-0 in a win that saw Cat Osterman flirt with a no hitter. Osterman tossed seven innings of shutout ball, holding the Racers to just one hit while walking three and striking out eight.
