USSSA Pride Games to be Aired on Longhorn Network

Kissimmee, FL –July 13, 2015- For the first time ever, National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) games will be aired on the Longhorn Network (LHN) during the USSSA Pride’s home stretch at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The Pride is set to face the Chicago Bandits, Pennsylvania Rebellion and Akron Racers during this seven game schedule starting July 15th. The June 26-28th series serves as a rematch of the 2013 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Championship where the Pride beat the Bandits to capture their second Cowles Cup. Cat Osterman Changes Mind, Will Return

Fans who missed out on Cat Osterman's farewell tour this summer are in luck. Softball's biggest star just added a lot of additional dates next summer. And maybe summers beyond that. An Olympic gold medalist, two-time world champion and one of the most dominant strikeout pitchers in college and pro softball history, Osterman announced in April that she planned to retire at the end of the National Pro Fastpitch season. CORPUS CHRISTI – The USSSA Pride and Akron Racers split a doubleheader on the final day of the NPF Coastal Classic at Whataburger Field Saturday afternoon before 1,650. Game One Pride: 7 Racers: 5 Boxscore GiOnna DiSalvatore’s two-run single with two away in the bottom of the sixth was the difference in the Pride’s 7-5 triumph over Akron. DiSalvatore finished the opener with four RBIs. Her heroics made a loser of Rachele Fico (0-1), on in relief of Brittany Mack.
