Kissimmee, FL-June 7, 2016- The USSSA Florida Pride is pleased to announce the signing of former James Madison University (JMU) catcher Erica Field to a two year contract. The Pride selected Field 18th overall in the 2016 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Draft. Kissimmee, FL-May 18, 2016- USSSA’s 2016 draftee class is unreal to say the least. With the announcement of the Big 12 postseason honors, seven of our draftees have been recognized in their respective conferences’. For the third year in a row, Big Ten’s Player of the Year award belongs to Michigan’s Sierra Romero, making Sierra the second player in Big 10 history to earn the honor three times. Romero was also selected All-Big Ten first team and is one of ten finalists for the 2016 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award. Kissimmee, FL- April 15, 2016-It was a big night for the NPF, with a sold out crowd at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for the 2016 NPF Draft. Aired live on CBS Sports Network, seniors all over the country watched in hopes of hearing their name to join the NPF this coming summer.
