Team effort gets the win for the Pride


Kissimmee, FL—August 10—The USSSA Pride continued to display their seemingly insurmountable power on Wednesday night against the Akron Racers. Facing the Racers at the University of Notre Dame, the Pride won their 36th game of the regular season.  In the first inning cleanup hitter Lauren Chamberlain hit a two-run home run, giving the Pride a two-run lead and setting the mood for the game. Pride drop second straight shut-out in 3-0 loss


Kissimmee, FL—August 3, 2016—The USSSA Pride dropped their second game in a row as they lost their series opener to the Chicago Bandits. Starting Pride pitcher Chelsea Thomas got the loss in the 3-0 decision while the Bandits starter Lacey Waldrop picked up the win. The Bandits put a runner on the bases in every inning, giving them plenty of opportunities to score runs. Errors were costly for the Pride in this contest. Pride defeat Scrap Yard Dawgs in 3-1 decision


Kissimmee, FL—August 1, 2016—The Pride started the month of August off with a win as they beat the Scrap Yard Dawgs 3-1. The Pride picked up their 32nd win of the season and widened the gap between them and the league’s second place team. The Dawgs struck first, scoring one in the top of the first. It looked as though the Pride might play an ugly game, starting things off by allowing an error, an infield single and a walk to load the bases. Kissimmee, FL—July 25, 2016—It seemed like the series finale between the USSSA Pride and the Akron Racers might go all night. The contest ended in the eighth inning when Kelly Kretschman sent a walk-off home run deep over the center field fence to make the score 5-2 and carry the Pride to their 25th win of the season. The Racers struck early and fast, scoring two runs on three consecutive base hits in the first inning. USSSA Pride Split First Two Games Against Chicago


Kissimmee, FL—July 17, 2016—The USSSA Pride took game one against the Chicago Bandits out here at ESPN Wide World of Sports with a 6–1 final score. With the win the Pride improved to 20-7 and continue to lead the NPF standings. Megan Wiggins kicked off the game with a lead off double that quickly put two on following a Kretschman walk.
