NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State softball team concluded its eight-game fall season with a doubleheader against a team of all-stars from the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) League Sunday evening at the Corn Crib. The Redbirds lost each game in five innings by the eight run rule, 12-2 in game one and 9-1 in game two. The games were part of the NPF’s third-straight “Back to School Tour.” A team of representatives from all four NPF teams (Akron Racers, Chicago Bandits, Carolina Diamonds and USSSA Pride) is in the process of making 21 stops across 16 states in a 40-day span. MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan softball team stuck with the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars through four innings, but ultimately fell, 5-0, to the pro team in a Friday afternoon exhibition at Central Michigan’s Margo Jonker Stadium. “I thought our team performed fairly well,” head coach Margo Jonker said. “We had a few errors I didn’t want to see, but I thought Dornbos pitched great, especially through four, and then they started hitting a little bit. ANN ARBOR, Mich. --Senior second baseman Ashley Lane (Escondido, Calif./Escondido) drew a bases loaded walk in the seventh inning to bring home the winning run as the University of Michigan softball team rallied for a 3-2 win over the NPF All-Stars on Thursday night (Oct. 4) at the Wilpon Complex, home of Alumni Field. Team NPF Tops The Bears of UCA


Conway, Ark. – The Central Arkansas softball team squared off with what is undoubtedly the toughest team they will see all season, hosting the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars at Farris Field Monday night. Though the Bears fell 3-0 in the game, there was a marked improvement from last season when the two faced off. The All-Stars came away with a decisive 13-1 victory in that meeting.
