USSSA Pride Signs University of Oklahoma Catcher Jessica Shults

Kissimmee, FL- Less than 48 hours after her Women’s College World Series national championship win, the USSSA Pride signed University of Oklahoma catcher Jessica Shults to a two-year deal. Shults and the Oklahoma Sooners swept the University of Tennessee Lady Vols in a best-of-three series in Oklahoma City Monday and Tuesday. Shults, who hails from Valencia, Calif., was named to the 2013 All-Big 12 Defensive Team as well as a 2012 First-Team NFCA All-American and 2011 and 2010 NFCA Second-Team All-American. Mizzou Softball: Marston and Thomas Selected in NFP Draft

Marston taken 19th to the Chicago Bandits and Thomas selected 20th to the USSSA Pride NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mizzou softball seniors Jenna Marston (St. Louis, Mo.) and Chelsea Thomas (Pleasantville, Iowa) were selected 19th and 20th overall in the National Pro Fastpitch College Draft, held at Ford Theatre inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Monday. Oklahoma’s Ricketts, Shults Among USSSA Pride Draftees

Kissimmee, FL- Keilani Ricketts, Jessica Shults, and Chelsea Thomas were selected by the USSSA Pride in the 2013 NPF Draft held in Nashville, TN held at Ford Theatre inside the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Monday. It was a memorable draft for the NPF as it was the first Pro Fastpitch Draft that aired on ESPN3. Keilani Ricketts was the Prides first pick, picked 4th overall by the Pride. Ricketts is a 6-2 senior pitcher out of Oklahoma.
