The USSSA Pride meets the Oviedo Junior Pride


USSSA Pride’s Ashley Charters and Jenn Salling met with the Oviedo, Florida Junior Pride team following their practice. The opportunity allowed the junior Pride team to ask a number of great questions and learn what it takes to play in the National Pro Fastpitch. The Oviedo Junior Pride is an U12 team that did a great job in showing Charters and Salling some of their team spirit with a few pre-game cheers. Connecting with Charters: The USSSA Pride comes to West Palm Beach


The USSSA Pride’s Ashley Charters ventured out to the local USSSA tournament to promote the National Pro Fastpitch and the USSSA Pride.   One of the sites for the 11U teams took place at Okeechobee Park in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Despite the weather bringing some unexpected showers early in the morning the moral was not lost.  Charters was on hand to meet a number of the teams in the tournament before and in between games.  One of the teams Charters met with was the newly developed Junior Pride team, which bears the same uniforms as the professional USSSA Pride. Connecting with Charters: Cruising to another level


The entire Cruiser travel softball organization and some of the other local travel teams in the area turned out for an exciting evening filled with some question and answer time with the USSSA Pride’s Ashley Charters and Sonya Montoya, the Pride’s athletic trainer.  The turnout was a great start to the weekend promoting the game of softball in the Martin County area.  Parents and coaches also came out to hear some good advice on Charter’s experiences playing softball in college and in the National Pro Fastpitch.  Montoya was also asked to speak to parents and coaches on a few helpful tips … [Read more...]

Connecting with Charters: Cruising with the Cruisers


The Cruisers located in Stuart, Florida are an under 11 travel softball team who were visited by the USSSA Pride Ashley Charters. Two of the girls on the team were guest bat girls at last years USSSA Pride’s Vero Beach doubleheader. They still to this day speak of how welcoming and genuinely friendly all the Pride players were during the game.
